The doors to Canyon Family Health opened in 2018 and we are thriving in the Santiam Canyon community. Owned and operated by Maria Fife, Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Family Nurse Practitioner, we are one of few independent practices in the Willamette Valley.

When I was uncertain of my career path, I joined the Army Reserves in 2006 and became a medic. I found I enjoyed caring for others and decided to pursue a path in nursing and medicine.
I have often thought that healthcare can be too entrenched in bureaucracy and administrative overhead. Opening Canyon Family Health has allowed me the freedom to practice in my own style and customize care to each patient.

During my free time, I love to ride dirt bikes with my husband and spend time with my daughter and animals.

I became a provider so that I can empower people through education, connection, and compassion.

I have found that it’s easy for people to feel lost in the complexities of healthcare. At Canyon Family Health, I can help navigate the needs of my patients as a whole person with respect to their unique definitions of what it means to be healthy.

During my free time, I love to keep active and spend time outdoors. Other interests include cycling, backpacking, and cooking with my husband.

Alli Hamlin
Family Nurse Practitioner
Alli is passionate about preventive care and partnering with patients to reduce disease risk through evidence-based medicine, education, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
Alli has lived in Silverton, Oregon for the past 13 years, where she and her husband are raising their two children on a small hobby farm. She values building long-term relationships with patients and is deeply committed to serving the health needs of her local community.
Outside of clinical practice, Alli enjoys crafting, spending time with her family, and caring for the many animals on their farm—especially pigs. Her personal and professional experiences inform her compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
